Analisis Risiko Kapal Landing Craft Tank ditinjau dari pengalaman kerugian

There are many types of vessel, each designed for different uses. That condition makes every type of vessel has a different risk. Landing Craft Tank (LCT) was an amphibious assault ship for landing tanks on beachheads. Specifically it was designed to test newly developed LCT in landing tanks across the beaches and to find out whether it would be possible to take a port by direct frontal assault. They were initially developed by the british royal navy and later by United States Navy during World War II in a series of versions. After The World War II, LCT was improved to be a cargo ship.
Due to the different construction from other types of vessel, LCT has a different risk. Underwriters must be smart in assessing the risk of LCT. This research is conducted to understand the risks of LCT in terms of loss record. The data was collected from PT Tugu Reasuransi Indonesia, PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia, PT Reasuransi Internasional Indonesia, PT Asuransi Central Asia, and PT Asuka Bahari Nusantara. Single variable is used in this research, which is focus in LCT's risks as a variable. Furthermore, the data collected is being analysed in descriptive qualitative method.
The result of this research found that the risks of LCT was classed in high risk. But industry is already anticipated that condition by doing risk improvement and risk control to minimize or eliminate the risks.
