The insurance industry in the global world has grown one of them in Indonesia. Many people are aware of the possible risks to humans, for it to be ready so that when there is a risk can be handled optimally, life insurance is the right way to protect themselves from possible risks.
In the world of insurance of course, we often hear the term / name ie underwriting, underwriting an important part in the process of insurance administration. In preparing this report the working practices, the authors raised the title relating to underwriting namely "Analysis of Individual Life Insurance Underwriting Process in PT Asuransi Jiwa Mega Life".
PT Asuransi Jiwa Mega Life is a company in which the authors do practical work, here the author placed on Underwriting. PT Asuransi Jiwa Mega Life is a company engaged in the field of life insurance stood at the date of May 11, 1995 which was formerly known as PT Asuransi Jiwa Sejahtera Mulia Mantari, then on December 19, 2003 changed its name to PT Asuransi Jiwa Mega Life, the company is owned by two large companies namely PT. Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk and PT CT Corpora with ownership of 50% each. In the preparation of this work the authors analyze how the practice of risk-based selection process of filing SPAJ (Letter of Request for Insurance) of candidates submitted by the marketing insured to be processed until a decision is given the submission is accepted or rejected by the underwriting.
If the submission is received life insurance will soon be published in conjunction with a life insurance policy premium calculation temporary or initial premium to be paid by a maximum term of 30 days since the policy was issued as initial requirements at the beginning of the insured. But if the submission is rejected for any reason, for example: a history of poor health, it will soon make a life insurance submission rejection (decrease) for the marketing that will be delivered to prospective insured concerned.
