Sharia insurance company is the company that having sharia insurance products in order to manage risks and Participants funds (premium) which entrusted by insurance participants in sharing of risk concept. The Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) in Sharia Insurance Company give priority to supervision of the company's core business, but investment activities in Sharia Insurance Company is a part of business process that cannot be separated from the company's core business.
The role of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) is ensuring that investment activities in accordance with islamic law. Not only that, the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) has to maintain the credibility and image of Sharia Insurance Company. It will affect the risk of reputation that impact on liquidity risk and other risks.
With qualitative methods, modification model of BPRS based on SEBI Number 15/22/DPbS and other regulation, would be tested whether could be applied to the supervision of investment activities. Then it can be determined how the implementation of supervision of investment activities at PT. Asuransi Takaful Umum
