The scheme of insurance is different with what people think. Some of the premium received by the insurance company will be paid to the reinsurance company as the reinsurer. The growth of reinsurance business in Indonesia is getting bigger along with the growth of insurance business in Indonesia. The linkages between those two are very close because they need each other.
One example of mushrooming insurance product in Indonesia is Credit Life Insurance. This research discusses about the effect of completeness of claim documents toward the settlement of incoming claim. The purpose of this research is to find out what are the impacts of the completeness of claim documents that might be not complete and what are the decisions that could be taken. The long process of claim settlement to the reinsurance company is interesting to be discussed so people will understand the importance of the completeness of claim documents.
The object of this research is PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia as one of the biggest reinsurer. Data collection method used for this research is in depth interview with the head section of claim reinsurance in life division and also used Standard Operation Procedure of Life Reinsurance Claim Settlement in PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia. Later writer would cultivate, analyze and interpret the data to answer questions in this research.
Based on the result of analysis and interpretation of data obtained by the writer, reveal any significant relationship between the duration of the complete document claims toward claims settlement. Furthermore, the completeness of claim document also influence the decisions taken by reinsurer.
