This book is intended not as a learned treatise but rather, as its title suggest, as a guide in plain (or plane) language. It wa originally written based upon the pratical experience of someone who spent most of his working life involved with Aviation Insurance and finding solutions to problemas on a day to day basis as well as being very much involved with the evolution of the insudtry during that period. It has now been updated, ten years later, drawing upon information available in the public domain and by talking with thode currently involved in the industry. I remain hopeful that it will be equally useful to the insurance practitioner as we;; as to any other person in any other industry who needs to have a working knowledge of the “ins an Outs” of Aviation Insurance
