Analisis Risiko dan Efektivitas Pemasaran Melalui Media Sosial Terhadap PT Liberta Hotel International
The rapid development of technology in the globalization era has had an impact on
changes that make it easier for people to carry out their activities, one of which is marketing.
Since the widespread use of social media, marketing that previously only used advertisements
on television, brochures, and newspapers, can now be done through digital content. This has
attracted the attention of many industries, especially the hotel industry amid intense
competition. Thus, it is necessary to know the effectiveness of marketing through social media
in the hospitality industry, along with the risks that may one day occur. This type of research
uses qualitative research methods, namely utilizing library sources, such as journals, books,
or other scientific works. The results of this study found that the useof social media as a
marketing medium for the hospitality industry is considered effective, one of which is because
it can reach a market target extensively so that the occupancy rate can be increased. However,
these advantages of social media still have risks that have a big impact on companies,
especially hotels. Reputational risk, security risk, and legal risk can change a good image into
a bad image if it is not managed properly.
