PROSES UNDERWRITING PADA ASURANSI MARINE CARGO DI PT. ASURANSI CENTRAL ASIA

This work practice report aims to identify and understand the underwriting
process for marine cargo insurance at PT. Asuransi Central Asia. The marine
cargo insurance underwriting process at PT. Asuransi Central Asia starts from the
submission of marine cargo insurance coverage that is above the limit to the
underwriter by the branch office to the decision to accept or reject the insurance
coverage. In line with the traffic of goods delivery in all parts of the world which
continues to increase, the risk of loss that may occur to the goods transported
during the delivery of goods increases. Risks during the delivery of goods can occur
either by land, sea or air transportation. Risk is an uncertainty about the
occurrence of a loss that can have an impact on the target. Insurance is a commonly
used mechanism to transfer risks that may occur during the delivery of goods. In
general, there are 5 types of guarantees commonly used in marine cargo insurance,
namely institute cargo clause A, institute cargo clause B, institute cargo clause C,
Land and air transit cover A and Land and air transit cover B.
